On a recent visit to Oregon with my brother Ken Pekie and his wife Anne Pekie, we decided to go to the Painted Hills in Eastern Oregon.  My sister-in-law, Anne Pekie, is a photographer and a painter.  She took the beautiful picture to the left, and I painted the pastel to the right.  For reference I used Anne's photograph and my memories.
