I am an American artist and have been painting for over 40 years. I have had numerous exhibits and am in many collections & have many awards ~ My paintings are in collections the United States, Mexico, United Kingdom, Europe and Australia. I attended graduate school in the 1970's at Pratt and in the 1990's at New York University. I pride myself on always having painted in many different styles and techniques. I determine technique, style and medium based on my reactions to what I am painting, I am fortunate to be painting at a time when an artist is no longer expected to paint in one style and use only one technique.
All paintings are created by me, Joan Winter. Every painting is original and one-of-a-kind. As with most artists, I paint in many styles and formats. Subject matter and mood determine choice of medium(s).
